RESCUE SAM is a semi-automatic external defibrillator. It is designed to rescue patients with the help of simple and direct voice instructions and indications. It is lightweight and battery-operated for easy portability. The RESCUE SAM defibrillator aims to treat ventricular fibrillation (VF) and rapid ventricular tachycardia (VT), which is a fatal arrhythmia and the most common cause of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and requires immediate treatment. Treatment consists of administering an electrical shock through the myocardium, also known as defibrillation, which helps restore sinus rhythm.
