AC Door Pull - 3156

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND ASSEMBLY
This product should never be used without supervision. A
person must assist the wearer during the set-up as well as the
healing process. Do not leave the patient unattended. Confirm the appropriate weight and duration of treatment before starting use.
You will need a door between 1-3/8” to 1-5/8” thick, a stable chair and
water in order to fill the pull bag with as much weight as
your doctor has directed.
1. Place the bracket at the top of the door and in the center of it
2. Once you’ve made a tight knot, secure the nylon string to the metal
notch of the pull bag. Pass the cord over the top of the 2
pulleys (the first one near the door) and secure the opposite
end of the cord to the hook of the head holder with a tight knot.
Adjust the lanyard length so that the expansion shaft and
traction bag are at neck level when the subject is positioned
under the traction.
3. Place the person directly under the hanging head holder.
Attach the back of the head to the lower part of the receptacle
using the custom Velcro straps. Place the
chin strap along the lower front of the chin.
The Velcro straps will now secure the front headrest
to the chin rest. Confirm that the receiver with the
adjusted straps is comfortable for the user. The receptacle and straps
must be in a flat position and not kinked or used
outside of the position shown in the illustration.
4. The head socket can be placed on the expander shaft by pressing the
curved part of it into one of the most comfortable notches in the expander. Continue with the
second d-ring on the opposite end of the arm.
5. The physician must determine the type of traction (flexion vs extension)
required by the product. This will determine whether you will be in front of the door
or away from the door.
6. The assistant can now add the exact amount of water into the
draw bag as determined by the doctor. Add the water gradually.
Do not exceed the recommended weight. Do not attempt to use
any material other than the water bag as a weight.
Ask regularly if the wearer feels any discomfort from the
head holder or discomfort from the added weight. The bag is set to
hold water weighing between 1-9.5kg.
7. Continue treatment for as long as prescribed. Upon completion
, the assistant must release the canister pressure by lifting the
water bag and detaching the Velcro straps from the canister. The
head can now be completely removed from the pull.
