Instructions for use:
1. Disinfect the surgical area according to hospital policy
2. Make sure the skin is dry.
3. Apply Steri-Drape to dry the skin thoroughly. Keep the scope a few inches above the skin. Grasp the ends of the non-adhesive film. Remove the liner paper firmly (see figure a).
4. When the “stop” symbol appears, stop peeling off the film (see figure b).
5. Using a sterile towel, press the film firmly downwards, first in contact with the incision to ensure good contact with the skin (see figure c) and continue to the rest of the skin. With a sterile towel remove any air bubbles so that the adhesive applies as well as possible to the skin.
6. To remove it, gently peel the cover at a 180-degree angle from the skin while pulling the tape away from the skin (see Figure d&e). During the removal process, hold the film with your thumb and hand as close as possible to the connection of the skin and the adhesive film. This prevents a serious trend in the field. The skin of elderly patients is usually fragile
and therefore requires even greater care when applying and removing such adhesive products.
