The Dermlite GL digital dermatoscope operates with polarized light and is compatible with smartphones. It features two magnifications designed for the best possible control of skin lesions. It is sleek, uniquely designed and small in size (slightly larger than a marker), while incorporating a high-quality lens (6x) ideal for dermatoscopy and a general purpose lens (1.4x). The unit provides extremely bright polarized illumination around each lens, allowing for improved, crystal-clear visualization of pigment and vascular structures.
The GL allows for highly detailed images to be taken using almost any smartphone or iPad. To achieve this, the GL is compatible with DermLite MagnetiConnect® smartphone adapters that create a magnetic connection to a mobile device in both positions. An included snap-on spacer can be used to stabilize the image, if needed.
The versatile DermLite GL is equipped with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery capable of providing approximately two hours of continuous operation, noting that the unit automatically turns off after 3 minutes to preserve battery life. A 4-level charge indicator offers a detailed view of the battery status and charge at all times. To protect and transport the DermLite GL, a cap with an integrated clip is included in each package. The cap can be attached to either end and is designed to protect the lenses from dust and lint.
