Arrow Triple Lumen Central Venous Catheter Kit – CS 15703-E. In medicine, a central venous catheter (“central line”, “CVC”, “central venous line” or “access central venous catheter”) is a catheter placed in a large vein in the neck or axillary vein or inguinal (femoral vein). It is used to administer medicines or liquids (chemotherapy), to take blood tests (especially for “central venous oxygen saturation”) and to measure central venous pressure.
The Arrow CVC is intended to provide short-term (<30 days) central venous access for the treatment of diseases or conditions requiring central venous access, including, but not limited to:
• Central venous pressure monitoring
• Total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
• Fluid, drug, or chemotherapy injections
• Frequent blood sampling or blood transfusions/blood products
