The high-quality Heine BETA®200 direct ophthalmoscope now features LED illumination, in HQ quality. The new standard in LED illumination that defines optimal light intensity, homogeneity and perfect color rendering. Red is red & blue is blue. Illumination with a color temperature of 3500K & color rendering index CRI>;97.

The Heine BETA®200 LED ophthalmoscope has a special optical interface for precise integration of the LED diode with the optical system to ensure bright, homogeneous light during the examination. The LED diode of the BETA®200 LED ophthalmoscope has almost unlimited working hours (typically 100,000 hours). You will never need bulbs again! Maintenance-free for a lifetime.

The Heine BETA®200 LED ophthalmoscope has a unique optical system. Heine optimizes the Gullstrand principle with aspherical lenses (separation of illumination and observation beam) for the complete elimination of corneal and iris reflections. Guaranteed full & sharp image even with small pupils. The Heine BETA®200 LED ophthalmoscope handles higher refractive errors with 28 individual Rekoss Disc lenses mounted on a disc with a 74-step design.

• • The Heine BETA®200 LED ophthalmoscope has a multi-coated observation lens to avoid light scattering.

• • The optical parts are hermetically sealed, dust-proof, guaranteed for life without requiring maintenance.

• • The optical parts of the ophthalmoscope are permanently mounted in an aluminum metal frame, thus ensuring strong anti-vibration protection of the ophthalmoscope from accidental drops.

• • Ergonomic design. Perfect and comfortable fit in the eye socket. Continuous and stepless adjustment of the light intensity from 100% to 3%, one-handed use.

• • The Heine BETA®200 LED ophthalmoscope has 7 apertures and a separate red-cut filter. Suitable for large and small pupils. Available apertures: slit, correction star, cobalt blue filter and red cut filter for improved contrast.

Patented aspherical lens system “Aspherical Optical System” (AOS) only from HEINE (US Pat. 4,963,014), eliminating corneal and iris reflections, providing large, clear and blur-free fundus images.

The LEDs are manufactured vertically by Heine in its facilities in Germany. They have special characteristics (e.g. color rendering – CRI) that make them a perfect complement to the expected Heine quality, unlike other manufacturers who use materials of questionable quality.
