The semi-automatic model proceeds in 3 steps before defibrillation:

1. checking the patient’s ECG
2. if a pulse is detected, then the device automatically starts charging the defibrillator capacitor
3. the defibrillator with a voice message suggests to the user to press the shock button to deliver the defibrillation energy
